More Feedback for the Navy for Moms Holiday Project 2009

The coordinator of our project received a nice letter from J. W. Miller, Rear Admiral, US Navy, Commander, Carrier Strike Group 11.

It's a little difficult to read so here is what it says:

Commander, Carrier Strike Group ELEVEN
24, December 2009

Dear Ms. Peterson,

On behalf of the NIMITZ Strike Group please accept my sincerest thanks for initiating and coordinating the NIMITZ gift-giving project. As you can imagine being away for the holidays takes a tremendous toll on our Sailors, so this selfless act of kindness is certainly appreciated. Thanks to you and the other Navy Moms involved, every Sailor will have a gift to open on Christmas Day.

Once again, thanks and I hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Sincerely,

J.W. MILLER
Rear Admiral, U.S Navy

I thought the sailors would like the stockings and goody bags but I am surprised at the number of nice notes and letters some of our members got back. Some of the sailors even sent Nimitz coins in return. I know they are very busy and often very tired and we just wanted to let them know that they were being thought of by people back home.
